Candace Cameron Bure's daughter Natasha Bure, 20, on her acting career: 'I try to do a lot of the work by myself'

Candace Cameron Bure's 20-year-old daughter, Natasha Bure, says she tries not to rely on her mom's Hollywood connections as she pursues an acting career.

"Having a mom who is very well known in the entertainment industry and especially in acting, I want to get advice and I want her to be involved," Natasha told ET. "But also there's a point in time where I kinda need to like fly my wings and flutter off by myself."

Natasha, whose debut film "Faith, Hope & Love" is now playing in select theaters, added that she'd be hesitant to make an appearance on her mom's show: "It's so funny, everyone asks, 'Will you ever be on''Fuller House'? Would you ever do 'Fuller House'? And the reason I say 'no' is because I want that to be her thing."

While she asks her mom for advice ahead of auditions, "once I book something I try to do it mostly by myself," she said. "It's always good to kinda have someone else's opinion, but I try to do a lot of the work by myself."

Natasha's comments come as her mom's longtime co-star, Lori Loughlin, faces criticism and possible legal consequences for allegedly paying $500,000 to fraudulently get her own daughters, age 19 and 20, into the University of Southern California.

Natasha and Olivia have been photographed together at a number of events in recent years, including at the 2017 launch of Natasha's book, "Let's Be Real."

Neither Natasha nor her mom have commented on the unfolding scandal, instead choosing to maintain focus on their own careers and family.

"Both my parents are just really happy to see me go after what I love and I think that's like the number one thing," Natasha said. "They're just like, 'If you work hard and you do what you love, we're proud of you and we're happy for you.'"
