As an on-the-go woman living in New York City, I’ve come to appreciate footwear that’s stylish (obviously) and functional. What good are a pair of pencil-thin heels if I can’t walk more than a few blocks in them? Now, it’s a different story if an Uber is involved, but for my day-to-day lifestyle, I need shoes that can keep up with my busy schedule.

Her sleek shoes boasted a square toe and croc-embosed material, leaning into the “quiet luxury” trend. While understated, the footwear spoke volumes, elevating her smart ensemble that consisted of a polished blazer, wide-leg pants, and a contouring turtleneck.

Promoting a new film is no easy feat, having to bounce from one place to the next, so, I can only assume that this unfussy style is the real deal. The shoes take “comfy” to a whole other level, with a flat sole and secure foot enclosure. I would know, since I’ve relied on similar silhouettes like clockwork, trekking up subway stairs, racing around the office, and running errands. No wonder it’s one of 2025’s ‘It’ silhouettes.
You may be asking, “Isn’t it too early for loafers?” Simply put, no. While Diaz may be ahead of the fashion curve (since the slip-ons are notably a spring shoe), the high tongue makes a strong case for immediate wear. Pair the silhouette with cozy socks, and you’re sure to stay toasty amidst the brisk winter weather.
