Calling all small businesses: Do you want to be featured in our Christmas Gift Guide?
Are you a small business owner who makes beautiful and unique products that you'd love to see featured in the pages of Red? Then we want to hear from you...
Red's editors will be searching high and low to discover the best Christmas presents from independent businesses, and we'd like your help.
If you'd like to put the products your small business creates forward for inclusion in the Red Christmas Gift Guide 2023, then this is what you have to do.
How to be featured in the Red Christmas gift guide
1.To be considered for inclusion, please send an email to redgiftguide@hearst.co.uk and attach high-res cut-out images of your suggested product or products (with the brand name included in the image file name), along with prices and the website address to buy them from. Your email subject line must include one of the gift guide categories mentioned below. The deadline for submissions is Monday, 4 September 2023. The list is curated by the Red team and products, brands, websites and images will be selected at our sole discretion. Submission of an entry, or inclusion in the shortlist, does not guarantee that your brand and/or your product(s) will feature in the Red Christmas Gift Guide 2023. It is possible that your product might be featured alongside a website address and/or images that you have not supplied.
2. Photos must be a minimum resolution of 300dpi and will be required by 4 September 2023. Submission of your product(s) constitutes permission for Red to use the brand’s name, and any image(s) and photograph(s) provided in, and in association with, the Red Christmas Gift Guide 2023, including promotional and/or editorial purposes connected with Red. You warrant that any content (including brand name and photograph(s)) that you submit will not infringe or cause Hearst to infringe the rights (including without limitation intellectual property rights) of any third party and, by entering your submission you agree to indemnify us against any losses incurred as a result of our publication of your submission or any part thereof.
3. Our Christmas gift guide covers a number of categories, including Fashion, Beauty and Food & Drink, so the subject line of your email must include the gift guide category your product fits into:
• Fashion - For her
• Fashion - For him
• Beauty - For her
• Beauty - For him
• Home & Garden
• Kids & Teenagers
• Stocking fillers
• Food & Drink
• Miscellaneous
4. We are looking for products from brand owners who ship to the UK – not boutiques or suppliers, unless you are the sole vendor – as we are only able to credit the product.
5. Unfortunately, due to the large number of submissions we receive, we won't be able to reply to all emails, only to those that are successfully shortlisted for the Gift Guide, which will appear in the December 2023 issue of Red.
6. The Terms and Conditions for this competition should be read in conjunction with Hearst’s standard Terms & Conditions (https://www.hearst.co.uk/terms-and-conditions), and if there is a conflict of interpretation between the two terms, these competition terms and conditions shall take precedence.
