Chocolate fans are usually treated to a host of festive items over the holiday season, but this year could be extra special with a unique collaboration from Cadbury. The household chocolate brand unveiled its new Twirl bar which is destined to become a stocking staple after chocolate lovers raved over the “impossible to resist” bar.

The Breakaway Cookie Dough X Twirl bar has been spotted on B&M shelves ahead of the holidays with many shoppers declaring it a must-have. The festive treat features layers of crunchy biscuit pieces and a chewy cookie dough filling surrounded by Cadbury’s iconic smooth milk chocolate.

Priced at under £2 a bar, the Twirl bars has been hailed as “a moment of pure chocolate bliss” and can be bought online at a few retailers as well. When Instagram foodie New Food UK spotted the item on the supermarket shelves, they shared a snap of the delectable treat that earned over 3,000 likes with a number of followers declaring they “need” it in the comments.

The chocolate bar landed in Australia earlier this year, receiving a sensational reaction from Cadbury fans. TikTok influencer Michael Jamie shared his live reaction to his first bites of the bar, saying it “has a honeycomb scent”, “definitely tastes different to a regular Twirl” and dubbed it “worth the wait”.

With supermarkets quickly getting crowded with shoppers planning their own festive treats, Brits are sure to be snapping up a number of chocolate classics like Terry’s Chocolate Oranges and the iconic Roses, Quality Streets, Heroes or Celebrations chocolate boxes. Whether they’re being used as stocking stuffers or easy-to-grab treats during Christmas celebrations, there have been some clear winners pointed out so far.

Home Bargains, Asda and Sainsbury’s have slashed the prices of retro Quality Street tins to £7.99 for 813g of chocolate, although some retailers require loyalty cards to nab this new price. Morrisons has also revealed a special for two 600g Quality Street tubs at £7 while Lidl Plus members can get Quality Street, Roses or Heroes tubs for £4.49 each, or two for £8.
