Case in point: Earlier this week, Kate Middleton celebrated her 43rd birthday and to mark the special occasion, Prince William shared a touching tribute to his wife alongside a new portrait on social media. In the black-and-white image, the Princess of Wales looked low-key in a blazer, tuxedo-style white button down shirt, and dark jeans, but it was what she wore around her neck that attracted our attention. Kate completed her look with chic gingham scarf, which added a touch of something extra to the entire outfit.
