All The Buildings In This Small Town Are Covered In Paintings Of Flowers

From ELLE UK

You've probably never heard of Zalipie but it might be the prettiest small town we've ever seen. Located about 60 miles east of Krakow, Poland, everything in this village-and we mean everything-is painted with flowers.

Legend has it that the villagers started painting flowers on their homes many years ago to cover up smudges of soot and smoke from their wood-burning stoves. The colors seem to be inspired by natural hues found in the village's gardens.

But they're not all the same-this house went with a blue motif.

Nothing goes unpainted in Zalipie. Even the chicken coops, dog houses and wells get a little bit of love.

It really helps to brighten up the long Polish winter.

But it's not just the exteriors that are painted. The inside of the village's church is brightened up with flowers.

People even paint their kitchens here.
