British royal aide steps down after racist comments

STORY: ''So then she began to ask me, who am I? Where are my from? So I said, I'm from Sistah Space. It's an organization that supports African and Caribbean heritage, women and girls. And then she said, Oh, what part of Africa are you from?"

British charity worker Ngozi Fulani says she experienced racism from a royal aide

at an event hosted by Queen Consort Camilla at Buckingham Palace

Location: London, United Kingdom

Fulani said that a woman touched her hair

and repeatedly asked her about her race and nationality

"Then she says, No, but where are you from? I said Sistah Space are based in Hackney. No, but where are you from? Now I'm thinking this is feeling a bit uncomfortable, but okay, it's a question. I'm from here. I was born here. Yeah, but where are you really from? I'm really from here."

The royal aide has since left her role over the incident

Neither Fulani nor the palace have identified the person in question

but British media says it was 83-year-old Lady Susan Hussey, Prince William's godmother
