The British Athletics Championships have been rescheduled for 4-5 September and will happen behind closed doors, it has been announced today.

The event, which was due to take place on 20-21 June has already been rescheduled once - in April it was pushed back to 8-9 August because of the coronavirus pandemic. The event, which takes place in Manchester, normally acts as trails for the Olympics.

British trials for the rescheduled Tokyo Olympic Games will now take place on 26-27 June 2021, but UK Athletics chief executive Joanna Coates has said she is 'delighted to be able to offer our athletes an opportunity to compete' this year.

The event will be broadcast on BBC Two at 18:30 BST on Friday 4 September and on BBC One at 13:15 BST on Saturday 5 September.
