Bridget Moynahan gives rare insight into relationship with Tom Brady now
Tom Brady and his ex-girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan, are successfully co-parenting their son, Jack, after a tumultuous end to their relationship.
The New England Patriots quarterback famously started dating now-wife Gisele Bündchen weeks after splitting from Moynahan, who was pregnant with their first child, at the beginning of 2007. In her new book, "Our Shoes, Our Selves," which she put together with Amanda Benchley, Moynahan sheds light on that difficult period of her life and how a pair of shoes inspired her to overcome it.

"Being pregnant and having a baby are such personal, intimate moments," the "Coyote Ugly" actress said of what she expected her pregnancy to be like, per People. "I would have cars following me, and men hiding in the bushes outside my house. As a new mother, you want to just protect your child. That kind of attention felt like a threat."
It wasn't until a trip to Barneys in New York when Moynahan had an epiphany after seeing a pair of motorcycle boots on display.
"I thought, that’s what I need. Let me get a little bit of my ‘New York’ back, a little armor," she wrote in the book, per People.
Now, Moynahan and Brady have since repaired whatever was broken about their relationship in order to provide a healthy and stable environment for their son, who is now 11. While Brady and Bündchen have been married for 10 years and share son, Benjamin, 9, and daughter, Vivian, 6, Moynahan has been married to her businessman husband, Andrew Frankel, for three years.

The actress points to both of their respective partners as reasons that she and Brady have been able to successfully co-parent Jack.
"Tom and I made a decision to raise a child together and we both found partners that not only supported us in raising that child, but also loved our child as if he was their own," she wrote in her new book. "I don’t think you can ask for more than that. My son is surrounded by love."
