New Bridget Jones movie photos are here - and they're full of joy
It's been nine long years since the most recent instalment of the Bridget Jones movie franchise, and we could hardly be any more excited to see the fourth movie - which will finally be out next month.
Now, new photos of a range of scenes have been released, and they seem to indicate we have a joy-filled film to look forward. In one snap, Renée Zellweger, as Bridget, and Leo Woodall, as love interest Roxster, can be seen grinning together in a park, as well as smiling as they cuddle up arm-in-arm, and relaxing on the banks of the canal together.
In other shots, however, Bridget sits by the fire with Chiwetel Ejiofor's character, her son's science teacher, and is seen alongside him at the front of a school classroom.
One still also shows Bridget and her friend Shazza (played by Sally Phillips) lying on the bed and laughing together, which is making us nostalgic for their friendship in the early films, and another reveals Bridget back holding her much-loved diary.
Ahead of the film's release, here's everything we know so far...
Bridget Jones movie 4: release date
Fittingly, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy will be out on Valentine's Day next month, on Friday 14 February.
Bridget Jones movie 4: cast
Of course, Renee Zellweger returns as Bridget Jones, while Hugh Grant and Colin Firth are also listed in the cast.
The actors playing Bridget's friends, Sally Phillips (Shazza), Shirley Henderson (Jude) and James Callis (Tom) are also back, as are Jim Broadbent and Gemma Jones as Bridget's parent.
Perhaps the most crucial of the list, however, are those new to the fourth film - potential love interests Leo Woodall, as Roxster McDuff, and Chiwetel Ejiofor, who plays teacher Scott Wallaker.
Bridget Jones movie 4: plot
Without giving away too many spoilers, the fourth film will follow Bridget a few years down the line from where the last film left off, when Bridget had a son with Mark Darcy.
Now with two children both in school, Bridget will navigate returning to the dating scene, as she's pursued by a younger man (Leo Woodall) and, possibly, her son's teacher (Chiwetel Ejiofor).
