Bridgerton star's new Netflix movie confirms January release date

Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor's new Netflix movie has confirmed a January release date.

Announcing the news via its 'coming soon' section, Netflix has confirmed that Bank of Dave will be released on January 16.

Starring in the new movie from the streaming service, Dynevor, who is best known for her role as Daphne Bridgerton in the hit Netflix drama Bridgerton, takes on the role of Alexandra.

Bank of Dave is set to follow the real-life events of 2011 when Dave Fishwick opened his company Burnley Savings and Loans, garnering national attention.

Taking on the role of Fishwick will be James Bond star Rory Kinnear who will star alongside Dynevor and Game of Thrones star Joel Fry.

Fishwick's company Burnley Savings and Loans found fame for its community lending after the small businesses from his town of Burnley, Lancashire failed to secure loans from bigger banks.

The film will focus on how Fishwick began his business in Burnley, which is famed for its charitable donations and was the subject of a Channel 4 documentary from 2012 of the same name.

Bridgerton seasons 1-2 are streaming now on Netflix. Season 3 is in production. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is due to premiere in 2023.
