Jonathan Bailey, star of the Regency romance series Bridgerton on Netflix, has been making the most of his downtime after filming season two by taking a villa vacation. The actor recently shared some photos from his trip on Instagram, including one shot that shows off his lean physique and visible six-pack abs. This should come as no surprise to fans of the show, who know that Bailey is about to take center stage.

While season one followed the budding relationship between Daphne Bridgerton and the Duke of Hastings, the second will focus more closely on Bailey's character, roguish aristocrat Anthony Bridgerton, and his attempts to find a suitable wife as depicted on the second book in Julia Quinn's wildly popular book series, The Viscount Who Loved Me.

Given the copious amount of steamy (albeit occasionally impractical) sex scenes in the first season, it's likely viewers will see Bailey in frequent déshabillé in season two. He already bared his butt in the pilot, in a scene which introduced his character mid-tryst with opera singer Siena, and if these latest vacation photos are anything to go by, it definitely looks like he's been putting in the time in the gym for more of the on-screen nudity which has helped make Bridgerton such a hit.

Bridgerton season two won't drop on Netflix until some time in 2022, but in the meantime Bailey will be appearing on stage opposite Rocketman star Taron Egerton in the Mike Bartlett play Cock. The pair will play a committed gay couple who hit the rocks when Bailey's character finds himself attracted to a woman.
