Looking for a binge-worthy TV show to occupy those nights snuggled up on the sofa this festive season? Allow us to recommend Netflix's new series, Black Doves. Not only is it set in London *at* Christmastime – making it an instant win in our books – it also has an instantly gripping plot plus a stellar cast. Hi Keira Knightley!
No spoilers, but the plot follows Helen Webb (played by Knightley), a spy at the Black Doves agency living life as a politician's wife in order to gain access to some seriously high-level government secrets. However, when her secret lover is killed, things get err, interesting. In short, it's the female spy thriller we've been longing for. If you've already raced through it, here's a full explainer for the ending. And if you have yet to start watching, get on it because a second season has already been confirmed!
We must confess, we're actually on our second watch because we found ourselves heavily distracted throughout by Keira Knightley's wardrobe. From her chic AF belted leather jacket to the burgundy satin dress that would look *so* good for our own Christmas party. So, we took a leaf out of Helen's book and used our resources (read: Google and otherwise largely useless fashion knowledge) to track down where all of Keira Knightley's Black Doves outfits are from. At this time of year, it feels like we're always on the lookout for a chic winter coat and this Weekend Max Mara belted wool design definitely fits the bill. It's still in stock, but warning – it ain't cheap. The neutral warm brown hue and wrap design make it a timeless style so you could argue it's worth the investment, but luckily Cos has come through with a more affordable and practically identical iteration.
