ITALIAN LINKS: Italian hat specialist Borsalino continues to expand its collaborations.

The collection with Nolan is expected to bow this summer. It focuses on Nolan’s bestseller jet N21 model, and is available in two color options: Metal White and Flat Black. The helmets will be presented in dedicated packaging featuring both the Nolan and Borsalino logos.

“Borsalino’s DNA is historically linked to the theme of travel,” commented Mauro Baglietto, general manager of Borsalino. “This partnership is an important growth opportunity for our brand, allowing us to expand our product range in a completely natural and logical way, bringing us closer to the lifestyle universe with an accessory that is in line with the brand’s identity and that will open the doors to a new target clientele,” he continued.

Distribution will be exclusive to Borsalino monobrand stores, the brand’s website and Nolan’s specialist channels. Enrico Pellegrino, chief executive officer and general manager of Nolan group, said, “We have chosen to partner with Borsalino because our companies share great values such as the Italian spirit, attention to detail, the quest for quality and comfort and, ultimately, an unmistakable style. Last but not least, it is a partnership that validates the Nolan brand’s renewed strategy of getting closer and closer to the lifestyle world.”

The capsule collection with E. Marinella features the wide-brimmed Amedeo and the medium-brimmed Federico models, both in Panama quito quality, featuring belts enhanced by E. Marinella’s signature patterned silk. Each hat is made by repurposing recycled tie fabric from E. Marinella. The styles retail for 390 euros and are available exclusively in both brands’ boutiques and on official e-commerce websites.

“This collaboration allows us to continue exploring new creative languages with excellent partners who represent the best of luxury. There are many values that unite us: craftsmanship, the constant quest for quality, offering a unique product. Customers will find the best of the ‘Made in Italy’ concept reflected in this wonderful capsule collection,” Baglietto explained.

These are the latest collaborations for Borsalino, founded in 1857 and which is modernizing its offer under owner Haeres Equita. Last year it partnered with Saint Laurent, Chloé and Lebanese fashion brand Elie Saab. In 2021 it collaborated with Yohji Yamamoto, followed by Vilebrequin and hip French brand Ami Paris in 2022.
