'Boob manicures' are here to #FreeTheNipple on Instagram

One of the fashion world’s most in-demand nail artists has just pioneered a new trend: Breast-themed nails.

Dubbed the ‘boob manicure’, this OTT nail art design was created by Mei Kawajiri, an NYC-based artist with over 60,000 Instagram followers and big-name clients from Balenciaga to Bella Hadid.

“They said #FreeTheNipple right?” she captioned one of her snaps.

In an interview with Yahoo Style UK earlier this year, Kawajiri revealed that charms, chains and hoops (like these badass nipple rings) are the next big trend in nail art.

“My favourite style of nail art is 3D,” she said. “Crazy styles with lots of detail that still look clean. Things that surprise people.”

We can certainly imagine these ones garnering a few shocked looks.
