It’s always good news when a brand takes a clear stance on sustainability. So when we found out Boden is releasing its first sustainable collection today, we were overjoyed.
Because it is becoming increasingly important that our favourite high street stores – and the fashion industry in general – starts to invest in more planet-friendly solutions.
And with approximately 40 million tonnes of textiles being sent to landfill or incinerated globally, textile waste is one of the many huge issues facing the industry.
Which is why we really support Boden’s new, limited edition ‘Remix Collection’ which is being produced from offcuts of the brand’s most-loved styles.
You can expect to see some covetable linen dresses (we’re all obsessed with that fabric at the moment) in stunning mixed prints, alongside reworked versions of their iconic Bretons.
And there’s also going to be some matching children’s pieces so your mini-me can twin in the most stylish way possible.
This isn’t all Boden is doing for a more planet-friendly future, either. The brand’s goal is that by 2025 all its clothing will be made from sustainable fabrics.
And its progress so far? It is already part of the Better Cotton Initiative, as well as the Good Cashmere Standard® by AbTF. Plus the brand has made the switch to more sustainable Lenzing™ Ecovero™ viscose and using GOTS certified organic cotton in the Baby Boden newborn range.
We predict that this seriously gorgeous range will end up being a fashion collector’s dream, so snap up your favourites while you can.
