Bobby Abley turned London Fashion Week Men's into Teletubbyland

Bobby Abley brought some serious fun to the London Fashion Week Men’s catwalk on Monday 12 June.

The British designer drew on his love of nostalgia once again for SS18, collaborating with ‘Teletubbies’ to celebrate the TV show’s 20th anniversary and taking us on a trip back to the early noughties.

Abley’s new ‘Messy Fun’ collection blends contemporary menswear pieces with bright colours, playful imagery inspired by his teenage years (think tees emblazoned with ‘Stripped’-era Christina Aguilera), eclectic prints and throwback accessories.

Female models’ hair was inspired by the ‘Teletubbies’ characters, and cuddly toys were strapped onto backpacks and carried by models. The show finale also included a giant Dipsy walking the runway.

Nope, we didn’t make that up.
