Blue Jays' Tim Mayza to undergo Tommy John surgery
Toronto Blue Jays reliever Tim Mayza suffered a torn UCL during Friday’s game against the New York Yankees and will require Tommy John surgery on his left elbow.
After missing a 3-2 pitch to Didi Gregorius by a comfortable margin, Mayza hit the deck immediately to indicate he was hurt. This is what the delivery in question looked like:

Mayza was in the midst of a season in which he pitched 51.1 innings with a 4.91 ERA and 4.67 FIP.
