Blue Bloods star Donnie Wahlberg celebrates emotional milestone with co-star

Donnie Wahlberg is celebrating an emotional milestone! Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the actor revealed that both he and co-star Marisa Ramirez have officially wrapped filming on season 13 of Blue Bloods. Sharing the news with a behind-the-scenes video, Donnie could be seen hugging Marisa before delivering a heartfelt speech to his TV family. Watch the sweet moment below…

Captioning the video, the Danny Reagan actor wrote: "Yesterday — April 4 — was not only #NKOTBReunionDay, it also happened to be the day that we officially wrapped Season 13 of #BlueBloods. I can't tell you all how fortunate I am to work with such an amazing cast & crew, nor can I ever properly express my gratitude to them and to all of you — our loyal fans & viewers!"

He continued: "I can, however, promise to keep working my [expletive] off to show you how incredibly thankful I am for this most wonderful opportunity to be welcomed into your homes (with my TV family) each week, to be part of your lives and to have you as part of mine — and to be so blessed to do what I love to do everyday. Thank you! On to Season 14! See you in July! Let's go! @bluebloods_cbs @cbstv: @thereggieice."

Sparking a reaction from his 1.7 million followers, many were quick to congratulate Donnie on the news. "Congratulations on wrapping up Season 13! Looking forward to 14, wrote one. "So happy this was taped, congrats. Ps…I love all your speeches!!" added another.

Back in March, Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, confirmed that Blue Bloods had been renewed for a 14th season. "'Blue Bloods' has dominated Friday nights since its premiere and remained an important anchor for CBS' winning lineup," she began.

"Led by the outstanding Tom Selleck and an incredible cast and creative team, viewers continue to embrace the Reagans, their law enforcement family and the series' dramatic storytelling. We can't wait to pull a chair up to the Reagan family dinner table for another fantastic season."
