Blake Lively reveals she's pregnant with fourth child
Blake Lively surprised the world this week with a glittering, non-verbal announcement.
The Shallows actor, 35, arrived at the 10th Annual Forbes Power Women's Summit - where she was interviewed by Moira Forbes - in a gorgeous, sequinned Valentino mini dress, and cream Valentino platform heels. But it wasn't the dress' embellishments that wowed the onlooking crowds (and the paparazzi), so much as what she was proudly showing off beneath the dress' layers.
On the red carpet of the Lincoln Centre, Lively displayed a baby bump, which she cradled in a few of the pictures with her right hand, indicating that she and husband Ryan Reynolds, 45, are expecting their fourth child together.
Lively and Reynolds already have three daughters: James, 7; Inez, 5; and Betty, 2, with their youngest, Betty, arriving only in October of 2019.
During the 15 September event in New York City, Lively subtly alluded to her pregnancy, rather than outright referencing it. She shared on stage: '" just like to create. Whether that's baking or storytelling or businesses or humans, I just really like creating."
The couple are rarely seen in public with the three daughters that they have had so far, with Lively recently urging that paparazzi 'stop the scary exploitation of celebrity children' after she was ambushed on the street by flashing bulbs while with her kids.
In a post shared to Instagram, she thanked the various publications and other social media accounts that were helping to "put their foot down" to stop showcasing children's faces in their pictures.
While they might keep them out of the public eye, Ryan and Blake, who married in 2012, often speak about their children and their parenting styles.
"Having children for me made me feel so much more in my skin," Lively said to Forbes in May. "I never felt more myself or at ease in my own body or more confident—not to say that there aren't a bevy of insecurities coming at me a million times a day, but I just feel incredibly settled."
Meanwhile, it seems like Reynolds is never not talking or tweeting about his kids:
On our 6am walk, my daughter asked where the moon goes each morning. I let her know it's in heaven, visiting daddy's freedom.

Damn it's hard letting your infant daughter go somewhere alone for the first time. I was a total mess dropping her off at Burning Man.
