Beyond Paradise star makes rare comment on famous wife

Beyond Paradise fans are loving season one thanks to its gripping murder cases and loveable cast. One star of the show, who is new to the Death in Paradise franchise, is Jamie Bamber, who plays Archie Hughes in the spin-off series.

The actor's character is a potential threat to Martha (Sally Bretton) and Humphrey (Kris Marshall)'s relationship due to his and Martha's history. In real life, however, Jamie is happily married to fellow actress Kerry Norton.

Appearing on Lorraine on Friday morning, Jamie opened up about what it was like filming Beyond Paradise in the picturesque town of Looe in Cornwall when he revealed that his wife, Kerry, was filming a project nearby and would often pay visits to the set.

"Kerry was filming a show there. It's always nice to share and on a film set or TV set you make such close friends so quickly and it's nice to share those friendships," he told Christine Lampard, adding: "So she came out with Kris and we had a drink in the evening with the crew, so it was cool."

Kerry and Jamie are proud parents to three daughters: their eldest, Isla, and twins, Darcy and Ava. It seems the pair are supportive of each other's endeavours and Kerry recently paid tribute to her husband on Instagram ahead of his role in Beyond Paradise.

Posting a selfie of the happy couple, she wrote in the caption at the time: "Tonight's the night! Beyond Paradise, BBC1 8pm in the UK. You'll have to wait a week to meet this handsome fella though. Introducing Archie Hughes."
