Best white sandy beach in the UK revealed
The 15 best white sand beaches in the UK have been uncovered, with glorious Kynance Cove in Cornwall scooping first place.
Picture-perfect fishing coves, turquoise waters and talcum powder white sands are dotted all around the country, but Parkdean Resorts wanted to find the very best beaches to visit this summer. In order to find those with the brightest sand, they analysed sand shade of 50 UK beaches, looking specifically at tone and texture.
While Kynance Cove came first, Appletree Bay on the Isles of Scilly took the second spot, where white sand meets the crystal clear azure. Scooping the third spot was St Ives in Cornwall, followed by Studland Bay and beautiful Bournemouth in Dorset. 'Finding the whitest and brightest beaches across the UK means you'll be able to find the perfect spot for a British beach getaway this summer,' Parkdean Resorts say. 'By analysing the shade of the UK’s top 50 beaches we were able to rank the beaches by their sand tone, helping us define the top 15 UK beaches with the whitest sand, so you can find the staycation with your perfect shade of summer.'
