There's a new luxury hotel in Palm BeachPalm House—one that was 17 years in the making. The location, then called Heart of Palm Beach, was last was open to guests in 2008, before it was purchased by L+R Hotels in 2019. The property then underwent a massive renovation, and now, Palm House is open to visitors.

Palm House, located at 160 Royal Palm Way, opened last month, marking the first U.S. property for the Iconic Luxury Hotels collection from L+R Hotels.

“Each person who walks through the doors – whether staying with us overnight, experiencing our vibrant cocktail bar, or enjoying a meal in our exquisite dining room – will feel as though they belong and are part of something truly special,” Palm House General Manager Natalie Le Clerc says.

Clerc told T&C all about Palm House—and the suite she's most excited for visitors to stay in.

Undoubtedly, the two-story Presidential Suite is the pinnacle of luxury at Palm House. Featuring nearly 2,000 square feet of refined living space, this suite includes one bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms. Its Alaskan King bed, measuring 9’x9’, stands out as the largest hotel bed in Palm Beach. The decor seamlessly blends luxurious textures and calming color palettes. Soft, muted tones of sandy beige and seafoam green evoke the tranquil ambiance of the surrounding coastal environment, while plush furnishings and bespoke accents add an air of opulence. The suite is further enhanced by butler service and breathtaking views from two private balconies that overlook the Sunset Pool Deck.

What feeling about Palm Beach do you hope to impart to guests?

We want our guests to feel truly at ease, surrounded by the effortless elegance that defines Palm Beach. This is reflected in every aspect of the experience, from leisurely afternoons spent lounging by the secluded Sunset Pool Deck, complete with cabana beds and attentive pool butlers, to evenings at the Palm Bar, where bartenders in white tuxedo jackets serve classic and inventive cocktails on the luminous pink marble bar.

What's one thing about the hotel that you think first-time visitors will find surprising?

One thing first-time visitors will find surprising is Palm House’s design and how it brings a fresh, bold take on Palm Beach’s historic charm. Rather than adhering to the expected, the design team, led by Cooper Carry, architects; Muza Lab, interior designers, and sought-after art consultant Minda Dowling, embraced a playful, modern twist on classic vintage Palm Beach style.

Guests are welcomed by grand floor-to-ceiling windows and bold Murano glass chandeliers, with walls adorned with oversized shell tapestries. Each of our 58 guestrooms and 21 suites is designed with an eye for refined details—coral-colored headboards, custom-made woven sconces, and antique mirrors framed by latticework—all creating an atmosphere of laid-back luxury. The opulent Presidential Suite, with its Alaskan King bed, is the centerpiece, offering expansive views of the pool and butler service. Throughout, there’s an eclectic mix of contemporary art, including surreal fine art photography by Slim Aarons and others, giving every space a sense of fun and sophistication. The entire hotel exudes a sense of luxury, while still honoring Palm Beach’s legacy in a way that feels refreshingly new.
