These days, skiing in North America can be hit or miss, but Whistler seems to be the exception—especially when you’re staying at the Four Seasons Whistler. The luxury resort, located just a short walk from Blackcomb Mountain, is the perfect location for your next ski trip.

With thoughtful amenities like a ski concierge located at the base of the mountain where you can store your gear so you don’t have to schlep it back to the hotel at the end of the day (plus hot chocolate and cookies waiting for you when you get back), the hotel allows guests to easily explore the mountain and all that Whistler has to offer at their leisure.

The quintessential alpine resort features 178 rooms and 95 suites (plus 37 residential units), and despite its proximity to the slopes—one could be forgiven for staying on site all day with a trip to the spa, a soak in the hot tub, or a delicious meal at Braidwood Tavern. Carolina Pires, Four Seasons Whistler's Director of Public Relations and Communications, tells T&C all about the property—and her favorite wintertime activities.

What do you consider to be the best room at the property and why?

Our Four-Bedroom Den and Residence is easily the best room on the property. It’s perfect for big groups or families and comfortably fits up to eleven people. Not only is it super spacious, but it really feels like home. One of our favorite parts is the private terrace with amazing mountain views. There’s also a cozy den to kick back in and a full kitchen and dining area to share meals together.

How much does it cost per night?

The cost varies throughout the season but averages out to CAD $8K per night.

How would you describe the guests and the vibe at the hotel? What feeling about Whistler do you hope to impart to guests?

Our typical guest is often couples or families looking for a mix of adventure and relaxation. We like to think of our resort offers "effortless adventure", perfect for thrill-seekers who also enjoy relaxing in comfort. Whether it's skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer, our guests come to us for a home away from home. We hope to show our guests that they can have it all in Whistler. There’s something for everyone here, and our goal is to make sure everyone feels fully taken care of, regardless of what they're here for.

What's one thing about the hotel that you think first-time visitors will find surprising?

One thing first-time visitors might find surprising is all the complimentary resort activities we offer. From our Canadian maple taffy stand to snowshoeing through the stunning surrounding nature, guests can experience the magic of Whistler without going far. Another thing first-time visitors are often surprised by is the welcome room we have for kids during check-in. Kids are invited to our enchanted welcome room in the lobby, where they can pick out a stuffed animal while the grown-ups take care of the check-in a couple feet away.

A local attraction we always recommend is the Peak 2 Peak Gondola. We feel it's the best way to soak in the incredible views of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains.
