The best reactions to Netflix’s new mask-wearing dating show
On today's edition of WTF, Netflix just dropped the trailer for their new mask-wearing dating show, and honestly it's the weirdest thing we've seen since TikTok told us to put mustard on watermelon.
Netflix describes Sexy Beasts, which is a reboot of BBC Three's 2014 version, as a show for people "ready to say goodbye to superficial dating."
They continued, "Sexy Beasts is the dating show that takes looks completely out of the equation using fantastical, cutting edge prosthetics to transform the daters - giving them a chance to find love purely based on personality!"
The trailer itself welcomes viewers to the "strangest blind date ever," with one contestant even asking their date if they'd count it as a "weird experience."
The six part series, which is narrated by comedian and Catastrophe star Rob Delaney, is basically The Masked Singer meets First Dates meets Love Is Blind. Are we obsessed, are we scared, who knows at this point?
Naturally, social media has gone absolutely wild over the trailer. "Am I on drugs" said one Twitter user, "My test of a potential partner/date would be whether or not they’d want to participate in something like this," tweeted another.

Even Netflix themselves had a little lol moment, tweeting "The quote tweet function was truly built for this moment."

Imagine someone fancying you as a wildebeest but then changing their mind when they see you as a human beest. So upsetting. https://t.co/HC5ypQUnJL

Despite social media's reaction, Netflix clearly thinks the show will be a big hit, as they've already ordered two seasons of the show.
Season one of Sexy Beasts is due for release on July 21.
