All the best pieces from H&M's most sustainable collection to date

Little of us pay attention to where our clothes come from. With fashion causing major pollution to the ocean and air, it seems an apt time to wise up to the environmental impact of your wardrobe.

High street brands are well on their way to helping you out. H&M’s fully sustainable 2017 collection launches today. The Conscious collection is made entirely from recycled materials.

BIONIC, a polyester made of plastic recycled from shoreline waste, has been turned into an ethereal pleated dress while a relaxed tuxedo made of organic silk joins a recycled polyester cocktail dress perfect for summer nights.

Supermodel Natalia Vodianova is the face of the campaign. “The collection shows how the best style can be mindful the planet, to help protect it for the future,” she commented.

For the first time ever, men’s and kids pieces have been included along with ecological unisex fragrances that can be worn separately or mixed to create your own unique smell.

The Conscious range is part of H&M’s sustainability initiative. 26% of the brand’s entire design range is now sustainable with a hope to increase every year. By 2020, the retailer is hoping for 100% of its cotton to be sustainable.

A number of celebrities are embarking on the sustainable route in a bid to influence our fashion choices.

Emma Watson wore only eco-friendly outfits during her entire Beauty and the Beast press tour, revealing the details on a specially created Instagram. Anne Hathaway has just pledged to do the same for her new film, Colossal.
