The Best All-Inclusive Hotels of 2025
Not too long ago, for many a traveller, the term ‘all-inclusive holiday’ conjured images of sickly blue cocktails, sad buffet spreads and crooning tribute acts. That reputation for naffness was often unfair, but it was widespread nonetheless. Now, a rising number of luxury all-inclusive destinations have helped to shift perceptions – and driven a resurgence amongst young holidaymakers.
In their recent report on upcoming travel trends, Unpack ’25, the Expedia Group found that almost two-thirds of Gen Z travellers said they’d considered booking an all-inclusive stay – and 43% said they’d prefer it.
In this age of always-on emails, the appeal is obvious. It’s about ease, indulgent excess and a lack of expectation. The new wave of do-everything hotels below – all featuring great food and drink, excursions and plenty of room for relaxation – will ensure that you're well and truly taken care of (in the most cost-effective way possible).
Octola Private Wilderness, Finland
A crustic estate plonked down amidst 400 hectares of snowy Finnish wilderness, where logs crackle in the fireplace and folk songs ring out. If you're looking for a place to ski, skate, sauna and catch the Northern Lights, this is the way to go.
Ikos, Andalusia, Spain
An all-inclusive that sits halfway between the sleepy Spanish beach town of Estepona and Marbella's pricey party zone, this resort boasts six – count 'em, six – pools, seven restaurants and lush gardens.
Rohet Garh, Rajasthan, India
You'll find this family-run heritage hotel, which is built into a former fort and has been welcoming travellers since 1989, in the northern reaches of India on the banks of a rural lake. It is, it's fair to say, in the middle of nowhere – far, far away from the hustle and bustle.
Grand Velas Los Cabos, Mexico
You'll find this oceanfront property in Cabo San Lucas, a resort city in the upper reaches of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula. It boasts seven restaurants, three pools with snaking rows of sun loungers, as well as five bars, a beach and a spa.
Hotel Xcaret, Mexico
On the other side of Mexico, another one for the families. The beachfront Hotel XCaret in Playacar, not too far from Cancun, boasts eleven pools and restaurants as well as sixteen bars, but it's the free access and travel to the nearby theme parks and nature activities that sets it apart.
Explora Sacred Valley, Peru
If it's once-in-a-lifetime treks you're after, then look no further. Situated near Machu Picchu, this modest resort – with sections that stretch back to the 17th century – features a spa and pool for guests to retire to after their morning hikes, as well as Andean feasts and snacks.
Paradise Cove Boutique Hotel, Mauritius
An adults-only retreat on a private peninsula, where guests can go snorkelling in the warm Indian ocean waters or catch a catamaran cruise to a deserted tropical island. There's also a spa, two floodlit tennis courts, a couple of pools and some truly beautiful views.
