When you think of celebrities and Halloween, it won't take long before you're recalling images of model Heidi Klum's legendary spooky getups over the years.

From Lady Godiva, Betty Boop and Red Witch to Forbidden Fruit, 'Bodies' Cadavar, and a 95-year-old Heidi, the German runway star continues to hit it out of the park when it comes to nailing top marks for effort, difficulty, patience and accuracy in her Halloween costumes.

Prosthetics are just the tip of the iceberg for Klum's costumes, with the star having sported fake varicose veins, eye lenses, faux breasts, and purple body paint for her most talked about outfits.

In her latest Halloween video Klum shared a video in which a voice over talks about her ‘demonically possessed children’ featuring in last year’s lockdown video.

For her Halloween 2021 mini film the model is seen opening a lighter from a coffin and screaming. ‘The dead will rise from their graves,’ a narrator says while a soil-covered Klum crawls out of her grave and spooks her children.

Klum is then seen nude in the shower, putting on make-up while her ear falls off, chopping her thumb off and popping it in a salad bowl and a piece of her cheek in the family’s lasagne. A casual Klum family night dinner, right?

What comes next is truly gross, you’ll just have to watch the video.

Klum shared a sneak peek of one of her Halloween looks for 2020 on Instagram over the weekend. The clip sees her lying down on a bed as her body is painted by artists to match the white and grey bed sheets. ‘First you see me, now you don’t! The transformation begins…’ she captioned the clip.

In the video, the model wears a face mask and a matching lingerie set, in the same white and grey tones. The star captioned the video with ghost emojis, too, suggesting something spooky was in store for her fans.

The model produced a short horror film instead of throwing her annual Halloween bash this year, starring herself, her husband Tom Kaulitz and her children: Leni, 16, Henry, 15, Johan, 13, and Lou, 11.

‘We had so much fun shooting this together,’ Klum told Vogue of the shoot. ‘My kids learned so much in these two days of filming about how some tricks work, how to move and act like mummies, how to remember their lines and cues. Even though they have come to visit me on many sets over the years, this is the first time they have participated.’

During the short film, Klum plays herself who is being hunted down by her family, who are stuck in Quarantine with her. ‘Halloween is different this year, but that shouldn’t stop us from getting creative at home,’ she captioned a video of herself. ‘Be safe, be spooky, and spend time with family.’

The 46-year-old model stunned her guests dressed as a gruesome humanoid alien at her 20th Annual Halloween Bash in New York City.

The German star gave fans a sneak peek into her sitting in the make-up chair during being made up as the alien in front of a glass window in an Amazon store in the Big Apple prior to the event.

The costume featured prosthetics galore, fake blood, boob tubes and a strange metal thong-type contraption, naturally.

The star terrified photographers on the red carpet alongside her husband Tom Kaulitz, who was dressed as an astronaut who appeared to have had a rather sketchy time in space.

In 2018, the German star went all out and dressed up as green ogress Princess Fiona. The model arrived at her annual Halloween party in a white horse-drawn carriage alongside her now husband, guitarist Tom Kaulitz, who dressed as Disney's Shrek for the occasion.

The model dressed as the werewolf in Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' video and performed the dance at her 8th Annual Halloween Party at Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge in NYC, 2017.

Six Heidis are always better than one, right? Well, this was the model's thinking in 2016 when she made five women undergo time in the make-up chair to be transformed into Heidi lookalikes.

To get by in life, it's said you need to 'fake it 'til you make it'. And this is a phrase Klum took quite literally in 2015 when she dressed as Jessica Rabbit.

Heidi set her own record for the most amount of time in make-up and hair that year by spending 10 hours having prosthetics applied to her face, chest and bum.

Forget your typical bin liner to create a make-shift witch's cape.

In 2014, Heidi spent a whopping five hours in the make-up chair to be turned into a butterfly.

Dressing up as her older self, Heidi told the New York Post: 'When I was a 95-year-version of myself, I spent a lot of time getting the details right, down to the varicose veins and the eye lenses to make it look like I had cataracts.'

With a walking stick and rocking chair close by, no wonder no one recognised the model.

Despite planning on dressing up as Cleopatra for her 2012 Hallowen party, the model was forced to cancel her annual shindig due to Hurricane Sandy, which hit New York that autumn.

'Hope you & your loved ones are safe after the storm [sic],' the model tweeted ahead of the party. 'Canceling my Halloween party...postponing to a haunted Christmas.'

In 2011, Heidi and Seal dressed up as apes for her second Halloween party that year. It reportedly took nearly six hours to apply the star's make-up, including Heidi's fake breasts.

The model went for a more chilled-out, classic Halloween outfit in 2007 with a cat bodysuit and a collar.

Quite the boring choice for this Halloween-loving model but perhaps she was tired?

Heidi concealed her pregnancy in 2006 by wearing giant apple costume with a snake wrapped around it.
