The best après bars in Zermatt

Hennu Stall - PASCAL GERTSCHEN
Hennu Stall - PASCAL GERTSCHEN

Expect a fun and lively après and night-time scene in this full-on resort. The action starts towards the end of the slopes in cute huts, and continues into the bustling town with everything from traditional to cosmopolitan drinking spots.

However, live music and welcoming, lederhosen-clad staff are likely to be accompanied by high prices.

For further Zermatt inspiration, see our guides to the resort's best accommodation and restaurants.

Hennu Stall

On your way off the mountain the longstanding Hennu Stall, on the Furi-Zermatt slope, has a lively, fun atmosphere, sometimes with live music.

Harry’s Ski Bar

For town-centre après or pre-dinner drinks, head to Harry's Ski Bar at the Matterhorn Lodge, run by a young, friendly, lederhosen-clad Swiss-Austrian couple. It's near the river at the bottom of Hinterdorfstrasse, a picturesque street lined with ancient, rickety chalets.
