The best accommodation in Mayrhofen
When deciding on accommodation in Mayrhofen, the centre of the resort near the Penken gondola is handy for most of the liveliest bars – although this can be a noisy choice. Away from the resort's central hub, in the quieter streets, there’s still a great choice of hotels though the trade off is often being further away from the main Penken lift.
For further Mayrhofen inspiration, see our guides to the resort's best restaurants and après ski.
Hotels
Der Siegeler
The Der Siegeler is one of Mayrhofen’s oldest buildings, but has been restored and extended. Although it’s in the centre of the village, the location is particularly peaceful, set in its own gardens. The accommodation is kitted out with contemporary furniture and it centres around a lively Sports bar.

Gasthof Edelweiss
A traditional guest house with nine simply furnished double rooms with a buffet breakfast option and free parking, Gasthof Edelweiss is a good budget option. It is close to the ski lifts and has a restaurant attached that has a varied menu, including lots of pizzas, and a cafe with a big terrace.

Sport & Spa Hotel Strass
Very popular in Mayrhofen, particularly for families, the Sport & Spa Hotel Strass is in fact two four-star hotels joined together, run by the Roscher family. The two hotels are huge and rambling, so it takes some time to get your bearings, and the bar would be at home in an airport. It all feels a bit quirky to start with but the longer the stay the more it feels pleasantly eccentric. The position is perfect, next to the Penken gondola station; it’s lively though, and can be very noisy.
