Bella Hadid Tries Out Retro Outerwear Trends, Goes on Saint Laurent Shopping Spree in New York

Bella Hadid modeled not one, but two trending pieces of outerwear in New York on Saturday. The supermodel stepped out for a Saint Laurent shopping spree before boarding a helicopter at Hudson Yards.

Hadid first sported a black aviator jacket from the french fashion house, layering it over a collared midi dress and suede knee-high boots. She also touted a vintage Fendi leopard print purse, adding on a pair of oversized frames, gold statement earrings and a bangle bracelet. Hadid completed her look with rings from Shay Pave and Bunkhouse Designs.

Following her trip to Saint Laurent’s SoHo boutique, the Chopard spokesmodel changed into a vintage shearling coat by Dolce & Gabbana. Carrying a Damier print Louis Vuitton Keepall, she wore brown Celine boots and a pair of Chanel Pilot sunglasses.

Hadid’s outerwear choices reflected trends from the 1980s and 1960s, respectively. Baggy bombers were spotted on the runway at Saint Laurent’s spring 2025 fashion show, which clearly nodded to the decade of decadence, while boho styles — including Penny Lane coats — have seen a major resurgence in the past year.

The ‘Ôrebella founder has been known to favor vintage fashions: while promoting her new fragrance line last year, she wore archival pieces Dior and Roberto Cavalli.

“My way into fragrance was being on my farm with our lavender plants, and we have a cute health food store down the street from my house there,” Hadid told WWD of founding ‘Ôrebella. “They have the craziest variety of essential oils, and I’m obsessed with putting things together that you wouldn’t normally smell.”

Hadid works with stylist Molly Dickson, who also counts Lana Del Rey and “Euphoria” star Sydney Sweeney as clients.

In August, Hadid was announced as Chopard’s newest brand ambassador, succeeding Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts.

“I have so much appreciation for Chopard’s craftsmanship and have been an admirer of theirs for many years. I am so thrilled to be joining the Chopard family,” Hadid said in a statement.
