Bobbi Brown Luxe Shine Intense Lipstick in Power Lily, £28

Reviewed by: Claire Hindson, Yahoo UK Partnerships Manager

“I’m going to start with a big statement, this may be my favourite moisturising lipstick...ever. I loved everything about it. The colour is beautiful, bold and strong without being over the top. It has a lovely texture, none of the stickiness that I’ve found can be an issue with moisturising lipsticks. I found it really hydrating, as good as a lip balm and very easy to use when applying straight from the tube.

“I am the queen of getting lippy on my teeth (classy) but this didn’t smudge at all, my teeth remained completely lipstick free even after eating and drinking. It was also surprisingly long-lasting given that longevity isn’t its main selling point. I’ve run out of compliments for this product so I’ll be right back, off to buy a few more from this range.”

Toni and Guy Damage Repair Shampoo, Conditioner and Damage Repair Mask, £7.13 each

Reviewed by: Alison Coldridge, Yahoo Style UK Editor

“As someone who colours their hair bi-annually and subsequently suffers from dry and damaged ends, this range was right up my street. After testing it for 10 days, my hair felt more nourished and stronger, but, for me, there was no additional wow factor.

“Plus, it’s not cruelty free, which doesn’t persuade me to remain loyal and add it to my Boots basket when I do my next toiletry run. However, if it’s a does-what-it-says-on-the-tin, affordable hair care option you’re after, it’s ideal.”

Byredo Slow Dance, £165 for 100ml

Reviewed by: Jessica Morgan, Yahoo Style UK Shopping Writer

“One thing I love about fragrance is that it can transport you to a wonderful memory and Slow Dance does just that. It takes me back to my young and fickle adolescent years, falling in and out of love, and getting excited about what was to come (if only I knew back then I was destined to pay bills each month).

“This fragrance it’s a beautifully smoky scent with top notes of opoponax, heart notes of geranium, labadanem and violent, while a base of vanilla and patchouli sinks gently into the skin once it settles. It’s suitably fresh for balming afternoons, yet daring for sultry nights. No matter your age, this scent will make you travel back to your youth and relive those beautiful moments again.”

Normakamalife Skinline Kit, £43.50 for x3

Reviewed by: Francesca Specter, Yahoo Style UK Deputy Editor

“I loved the Everyday Moisture product. It smelt glorious and citrus-y, which made it a real treat to use and the zingy scent woke me up for the morning. The moisturiser was super hydrating without being too heavy, which was perfect for my combination skin. The Exfoliating Cleanser, however, was too grainy and harsh to use on my skin. It proved useful to scrub away fake tan, but I won’t be using it on my whole face again. On my body, however, it worked a dream and smoothed the dry skin on my upper arms.

The packaging of the Glow had an immediate uplifting effect on my mood. While the product itself is a deep caramel, it provided a more subtle effect than I expected - more of a glow than a tan - which was perfect for my pale complexion. It’s a great cheat on no-make-up days when you just want a little boost.”

Lancer Skincare Clarifying Detox Mask, £63

Reviewed by: Jessica Morgan, Yahoo Style UK Shopping Writer

“If there’s one dermatologist I would put my trust in, it’s Dr Harold Lancer. He’s the derm to the whole of Hollywood and boasts celebrity clients, such as Beyonce, Kim Kardashian West, Margot Robbie and more, so you know he means business. I became obsessed with his Lancer Skincare The Method products and was so impressed as they completely changed my skin - for the better.

“And his latest launch has not disappointed me. It’s a facial mask packed with antioxidants, such as green tea and green clay to remove impurities, while the 3% sulfur helps to decongest the skin. I’ve been using it three times a week for about a month now and it has completely transformed my acne-prone skin. A must-have in my bathroom, for sure. Plus its nifty size makes it easy to travel with.”

Chanel Gabrielle Essence, £118 for 100ml

Reviewed by: Jessica Morgan, Yahoo Style UK Shopping Writer

“I’m a huge fan of Chanel’s fragrances and I haven’t been disappointed with its latest launch. The iconic Gabrielle Chanel eau de parfum has been reinterpreted by Olivier Polge and been developed and composed around four white flowers revered by Chanel (jasmine, ylang-ylang, orange blossom and tuberose). It’s fresh, floral and yet spicy, leaving a beautiful lingering smell wherever I walked. I had people chase me down the road to ask what I was wearing. It’s definitely going to be a permanent fixture for me this autumn.”

Boucleme Scalp Exfoliating Shampoo, £26

Reviewed by: Jessica Morgan, Yahoo Style UK Shopping Writer

“This shampoo is made from a concoction of spearmint, sweet orange and marjoram which stimulates your hair follicles whilst soothing and calming the scalp. When first used, the scent and tingling instantly reminded me of using the Radox Mint shower gel. When I washed it out, my scalp and hair felt refreshed as though I had been at the spa. I have been using it for a few weeks now and am totally in love. It’s cruelty-free, doesn’t contain any nasties such as sulfates and silicones and is suitable for those with sensitive scalps. It’s important to note, though, that is suitable for all hair types, including straight, wavy and kinky.”

Decree Peptide Emollient Veil, £115 for 50ml

Reviewed by: Francesca Specter, Yahoo Style UK Deputy Editor

“I liked that this moisturiser felt thick and nourishing but also had a silky texture as it went on. My skin looked visibly plumper after I used it, too. It worked well under makeup as it didn’t leave a greasy residue on my combination skin - perfect. I’d use this AM/PM moisturiser for those days when I wake up with my skin feeling particularly dry and tight, as well as regular use at night.”

bareMinerals Bounce and Blur, £23

Reviewed by: Jessica Morgan, Yahoo Style UK Shopping Writer

“If I am going to choose a blush to wear, it has to be a cream-based product. So I was pleased to hear that bareMinerals was launching a cream-to-powder blush. The formula is super creamy yet settles on the skin with a blurring effect, so you can say goodbye to any visible pores. I also didn’t have to use a brush and was able to blend easily using my fingers without distributing too much. My favourite shade was the Coral Cloud because it really suited my skin tone and gave me a healthy-looking flushed complexion.”

Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Overnight Recovery Mask | £58 for 50ml

Reviewed by: Sabrina Carder, Yahoo Style UK Shopping Editor

“The overnight mask had a too thick consistency, a bit like the texture of Arnica, which the BioOrganic and cruelty-free cream does in fact include. It also disappointedly left my skin with dry patches in the morning.

“However, the cream’s aroma of lavender, calendula and chamomile made my bathroom feel like a mini-spa, making for a relaxing and therapeutic nightly skincare routine.”

Me, Myself and MMMMitchell Pressed Pigment Palette, £30

Reviewed by: Jessica Morgan, Yahoo Style UK Shopping Writer

“I don’t tend to gravitate towards vibrant eyeshadows because, quite frankly, I usually look as though I’ve raided my mother’s makeup bag. With that said, I’ve been really impressed by the new Beauty Bay x Mitchell Halliday eyeshadow palette. It contains 32 highly-pigmented shades with 24 mattes and 8 shimmers that blend surprisingly easily.

“While the shades are super bright, they complemented my skin tone so I didn’t look like I’d arrived to my friend’s party in fancy dress and face paint. Plus, the design makes it super easy to apply and it features a detachable mirror.”

Fresh Vitamin Nectar Glow Antioxidant Face Serum | £26 for 15ml

Reviewed by: Sabrina Carder, Yahoo Style UK Shopping Editor

“If there was any doubt that the serum was packed with all natural Vitamin C, E and B5, it smelt like I’d dissolved a Berroca on my face, which, could quite possibly be overpowering for some.

“That said, the serum, which comes in an easy-to-use dropper bottle and is formulated with 480,0000 nutrient-rich microbubbles absorbed nicely into the skin and left a dewy and energised glow without an oily effect.”

Orveda Biotic-Full Eyes Duo, £75

Reviewed by: Jessica Morgan, Yahoo Style UK Shopping Writer

“When it comes to my skincare routine, I take my under eye area seriously. The skin under your eye is the most delicate area of your face and is the first part that shows signs of ageing. Oveda’s latest launch is a hybrid of skincare and makeup (hello concealer) with a formula that is packed full of probiotics and highly-concentrated actives to refresh the eye area.

“I found it super easy to apply and saved me time having to apply eye cream, wait for it to dry, then apply my concealer, because it’s two products in one. There’s a BBC cream that is a tone-correcting peach tint that instantly brightens, while the Upper Lid Lift-Effect Cement is formulated with a pink tint to cancel red tones. Let’s say after a hangover and three hours sleep, this nifty duo made me feel (and look) fresh as a daisy.”

Algenist Alguronic Acid + Phloretin AA Barrier Serum, £80

Reviewed by: Francesca Specter, Yahoo Style UK Deputy Editor

“As someone interested in the latest beauty super-ingredients, I was intrigued by this as I hadn't heard of Alguronic Acid before. Investigating further, it’s a patented ingredient made from microalgae said to help with everything from anti-ageing to acne treatment.

This barrier serum is pegged to provide a barrier against pollution while also nourishing the skin. Unfortunately, I did not get on with this product. It smelt very strongly of chemicals, which I wasn’t a fan of, and had a greasy texture. It also made my acne prone skin break out. This might prove a wonder product for others - but I won’t be using it again.”

Codex Beauty Exfoliating Wash, £38

Reviewed by: Francesca Specter, Yahoo Style UK Deputy Editor

“In contrast to the grainy Norma Kamali scrub, this exfoliator felt like a thick butter when I first rubbed it into skin. The tiny jojoba beads provided a very gentle exfoliation which left a moisturising (but not greasy) residue on skin. Because it's so nourishing, this is ideal for regular use every day without being too abrasive on skin.”

Sachajuan Anti-Pollution Shampoo, £22, and Conditioner, £24

Reviewed by: Danielle Stacey, Yahoo UK Royal Correspondent

“I’m one of those people who washes their hair nearly every single day because 1) I go to the gym and 2) have to commute to work on a hot and sticky train, but that can have an affect on colour-treated tresses.

“Stockholm hair care brand Sachajuan’s anti-pollution shampoo and conditioner creates a barrier against build-up on the scalp and hair, but it also reduces colour-fade and mineral build-up from hard water. After two weeks of using the combo, my hair felt and looked noticeably smoother and shinier. An added bonus - Sachajuan’s products are cruelty-free.”

Living Proof In-Shower Styler, £10

Reviewed by: Alison Coldridge, Yahoo Style UK Editor

“As someone who often can’t be bothered to use a hair dryer, this leave-in styling creme was ideal. It’s simple to use: coat your locks in a generous dollop after washing and conditioning, and then give it a quick rinse - the idea is that most of the product stays in your hair. I found it helped smooth my air-dried hair and left it feeling nourished and cared for.”

Decree Treat Tincture, £130

Reviewed by: Sabrina Carder, Yahoo Style UK Shopping Editor

“A little goes a long way with this serum, which was light and absorbed nicely into the skin. Filled with peptides and a small dose of Hyaluronic Acid to help plump the skin, I found it restored and rehydrated. It also worked well with other serums and acted as a great base for makeup.”

Foreo Mini 3, £139

Reviewed by: Alison Coldridge, Yahoo Style UK Editor

“After struggling to get this cleansing brush working (you need to first download an app and sync the tool - I didn’t read the instructions before plowing ahead) I quickly fell in love.

“Once you’ve figured out how to turn it on, you use it once you’ve applied your cleanser to help give your skin a really good, deep clean. Despite worrying about breakouts, my skin is beautifully clear - and feels incredibly smooth.”

Charlotte Tilbury Walk of Shame Eyeshadow Palette, £40

Reviewed by: Lianna Brinded, Yahoo Finance UK Editor

“Perfecting the smoky eye is the holy grail for make-up enthusiasts while finding a correct colour palette that goes beyond bleeding one colour dry, while most of the shadows go untouched, is also a rarity. Whether you’re young or old, have green or brown eyes, or whatever your skin tone, the combination of shimmering, iconic, russet-reddy tones works magic on enhancing natural features.

It’s hard to achieve that sultry confident eye without clouding your natural beauty and also making an enviable smoky eye work for both day and night. But this palette makes it easy with its prime-enhance-smoke-pop recipe. If you find blending as hard as I do, you’ll be pleased to know that each shade glides on effortlessly and the colours enable easy blending to get the eye-catching look in just four easy steps.”

Clean Reserve White Fig and Bourbon Perfume, £129

Reviewed by: Alison Coldridge, Yahoo Style UK Editor

“There’s no escaping the fact that thus fragrance is pricey. But, if you want a decent EDP - rather than EDT - with a scent that will linger for more than an hour, you’re going to need to cough up. Fortunately, this perfume’s worth the price tag.

“It’s long-lasting, looks ultra luxe and the brand boasts some seriously impressive eco credentials. An added bonus? It’s actually more of a traditionally masculine scent than a feminine one, so my husband and I both spritzed merrily for the 10-day period I reviewed it for.”

Launch date: September

Jo Malone Poppy & Barley, £98 for 100ml

Reviewed by: Alison Coldridge, Yahoo Style UK Editor

“Jo Malone's added to its impressive cologne selection with a wonderfully unexpected new fragrance combination: Poppy & Barley. Light and fresh, it's a romantic summer daytime scent - but lingers well into the night. As with all of Jo Malone's scents, it pairs beautifully with other products - I layered it with my partner's go-to Wood Sage & Sea Salt and my own Myrrh and Tonka. Divine.”

Too Faced Watermelon Face and Eye Palette, £35

Reviewed by: Clare Hindson, Yahoo UK Partnerships Manager

“I’m very fearful of bright and bold eyeshadow colours and at first look, this palette made me a little nervous. There are eight shadows ranging from a nude pink (great) to a sparkly black (cue fear!). I tried them all and was very surprised at how much I liked them. The colours weren’t as brash as I thought they would be but the pigment was strong so they had the perfect balance of great, lasting colour without being too much.

“The blusher is bright but a light sweep over some matt bronzer was perfect. The bronzer and highlighter were a little too glittery for me on a grey week in London, but take me to a beach and they’d be perfect. The palette was also watermelon scented which was cute.”
