Beautiful new photo of the Kate released for her 43rd birthday
A gorgeous new black and white photograph of the Princess of Wales was released in celebration of Kate's 43rd birthday on Thursday (9 January), alongside a touching tribute from her husband, Prince William.
In the photograph, shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales' official Instagram account, a radiant Kate is seen beaming as she looks off into the distance.
The princess chose a smart casual look for the shot, consisting of a simple white shirt tucked into high-waisted jeans, with a dark blazer worn on top and finished off with stylishly rolled sleeves.
A statement checked scarf, worn loose around her neck, completed the look, while her dark hair was down in a signature bouncy, wavy blow-dry. Kate's jewellery was minimal, with just her sapphire engagement ring on display.
Alongside the beautiful new photograph, Prince William shared a touching message to his wife of nearly 14 years.
"To the most incredible wife and mother," the caption reads. "The strength you’ve shown over the last year has been remarkable. George, Charlotte, Louis and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you." The message was signed simply, "W" for William.
It was announced in September that Kate had completed her course of chemotherapy after she revealed in March that she was undergoing cancer treatment.
