The BBC has released the first trailer for Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl.

The upcoming film will see the return of villainous penguin Feathers McGraw, who first appeared in 1993's The Wrong Trousers and made a cameo in last year's Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget.

The brand-new adventure sees Gromit growing concerned as Wallace starts to become a little too dependant on his inventions.

His fears are realised when Wallace creates a "smart gnome" that develops an evil mind of its own and causes chaos across the region. Though it soon becomes apparent that an old foe might be masterminding things.

The high drama trailer opens with Gromit nervously peeking out of a window, while a voice on the radio informs us: "We're getting reports of a crime wave across the region."

The clip then cuts to an angry mob protesting outside of 62 West Wallaby Street, which a news reporter calls "the house of the evil inventor Mr Wallace".

After Wallace proclaims his innocence, Gromit sets to out to uncover who's really behind the crimes.

Vengeance Most Fowl will feature Ben Whitehead as the voice of Wallace, as well as Peter Kay returning as policeman Albert Mackintosh.

Bridgerton's Adjoa Andoh, Inside No. 9's Reece Shearsmith, The Rings of Power's Lenny Henry, Cunk star Diane Morgan and Everybody's Talking About Jamie's Lauren Patel complete the voice cast.

Recently opening up about the return of Feathers McGraw, Wallace & Gromit director Nick told Deadline: "Just machines going wrong seemed a bit normal. We needed something with a bit more bite, and someone with an actual clear, sinister motive.

"Feathers McGraw was obviously the perfect candidate, having sat in jail for 30 years, languishing, thinking of nothing but revenge. It seemed like the perfect motivation for a villain."

Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl will premiere on BBC One and BBC iPlayer this Christmas. It will also stream on Netflix internationally from January 3, 2025.
