BBC The One Show fans say same thing about Roman Kemp and Barney Walsh minutes into show
The One Show fans were all left saying the same thing minutes into the show as Barney Walsh appeared on the BBC show alongside his dad Bradley Walsh.
The father and son duo appeared on the programme on Thursday (December 19) to promote the rebooted version of Gladiators ahead of the celebrity special which airs on New Year's Day.
However, some viewers were left distracted as they realised that Barney and host Roman Kemp weren't actually the same person. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: "Seeing Roman Kemp and Barney Walsh on #theoneshow is strange to me. they both live in the same place in my brain."

Another added: "My Nan will be having a moment right now seeing Barney and Roman in the same place at the same time. She thinks they are the same person, forever mixing them up."
A third person said: "Wait, Barney Walsh and Roman Kemp AREN’T the same person?" A fourth social media user said: "I always thought Barney and Roman were the same person."
Gladiators made an explosive return to our screens in early 2024 with 16 new stars breathing new life into the 1990s ITV reality series, with Bradley and Barney on hosting duties.
Viewers were gripped as they cheered on their favourites each week and the show quickly became the biggest entertainment launch for a new series in seven years, with 28-day figures showing that 9.8m viewers watched the first episode.
The four celebrities taking on the Gladiators are comedian Rob Beckett, TV presenter and triathlete Louise Minchin, presenter and comedian Joel Dommett and Ted Lasso star Ellie Taylor. The stars will face the ultimate test of speed and strength up against the power of the Gladiators before going head to head in the iconic Eliminator.
Roman will be back on screens on Friday (December 20) with Alex Jones for the last show of the year before the pair take a break for the Christmas holidays.
The One Show airs weeknights on BBC One at 7pm
