The Bastard Son & the Devil Himself viewers share one strong fan reaction

The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself is the latest supernatural show to drop on Netflix, and already, fans are completely hooked. The show is based on author Sally Green's YA book trilogy Half Bad and follows the protagonist, Nathan Byrn, the son of a dangerous witch responsible for a deadly massacre who is trying to find his place in the world and prove that he's not like his father. Besides the main plot, the series also focuses on the other supernatural teenagers along for the ride, and of course, with any show that's remotely magical, things get *complicated.*

But for those who haven't yet tuned in to the Blood Witch vs Fairborn Witch eight-episode saga, those who have, are eager to encourage everyone to add it to their watch list. Why? Because they want Netflix to renew it for a second season.

Many fans have since taken to Twitter to rave about the show, with a slew of viewers vowing that they'll sue Netflix (joking, ofc) if more episodes don't make it into production.

"Begging ON MY KNEES people to go watch The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself on Netflix cause I've seen NOBODY talk about it but it's so damn good and I need a season 2," one fan wrote, as another typed: "If Netflix doesn’t renew The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself I’m going to lose my mind. This show has me seeing shrimp colours."

Further confirmations that a season two is required were quick to make an appearance on the social media platform, too. "Can everyone please watch The Bastard Son and The Devil Himself on Netflix!!!! I need season 2 fr," another viewer wrote, as someone else agreed, writing: "The Bastard Son and The Devil Himself is so f*cking good??? Like oh my god oh my god I'm unwell. The visuals, plot, dialogue, characters, representation…. just actual perfection. If it doesn’t get renewed I'm suing Netflix."

Well, looks like the streaming service doesn't have much choice in the matter. Which means hopefully, it's not too long until we can binge-watch another eight episodes. *Fingers crossed*
