Bankrupt Katie Price in 'nightmare' battle for Harvey to stay at £350k-a-year college

Bankrupt Katie Price is in a fierce fight to ensure her son Harvey remains at his £350k-a-year college. The 45 year old former glamour model opened up to her followers last month, revealing the distressing news that 21 year old Harvey was told he must leave National Star College in Cheltenham.

Harvey, who started at the college in September 2021, lives with Prader-Willi syndrome, is on the autism spectrum and has partial sight loss.

Katie has previously shared that the reason behind Harvey's required move is due to the local council funding his education, and now it appears they won't fund him to be at a college that's too far from their residence.

In a recent update, the reality star expressed her determination to do whatever it takes for her son to maintain his independence and continue living away.

On The Katie Price Podcast, she discussed the situation: "He's happy. I'm going to see him next week. I've got to fill out his EHCP forms. Anyone who has got a child with needs or anything like that, you do like EHCP forms, to keep them in or get them to another school.

"So I'm going that with Harvey because obviously the government pay for his schooling. So I'm filling that out and we've appealed it. So I'm just sorting all of that out. Then after that I'll go and see him. Can't wait to go down to Cheltenham."

Last month, Katie Price opened up about the challenges she's facing with her son Harvey's education and care: "I'm having a nightmare at the minute. We were looking for him to stay at his college another year or if not a placement, but [the local authority] haven't accepted it," at reported by the Mirror.

"They've given me three months that he has to find somewhere else by July. With someone like Harvey you need the transitional move, you need to do it slow," she continued, expressing her concern.

In other news, Katie did not attend her latest bankruptcy hearing session in person. The reality star and ex-glamour model faced bankruptcy for the second time this year due to an outstanding tax bill of more than £750,000.

Katie was scheduled to appear at the High Court on Friday to discuss her financial situation and demonstrate her plan for settling her debts. However, at the beginning of the hearing, her legal team relayed that she would be absent.

A barrister addressed the court, as reported by The Sun, saying: "It's quite apparent that the evidence was filed very late and not even filed with the court. We are in a very serious situation as a consequence. She may be held in contempt of court, imprisoned, fined or a warrant issued for her arrest."
