'Soggy bottoms' is a phrase that need not only apply to cakes after all. Former Great British Bake Off host Sue Perkins has signed up to front a new one-off show in which celebrity contestants will be tasked with making their very best – and preferably, not sludgy – snowmen.

Titled The Greatest Snowman, the Christmas-themed competition will air on Channel 4, and see the famous-faced participants shack up in an Alpine ski resort for three days and nights, as they try to outdo one another with their snow and ice-sculpting skills.

According to the UK broadcaster, there will be three rounds in the content, and the celebs will be supported by a crew of snow-sculpting specialists, so viewers should expect to see some pretty extraordinary designs.

Each of their finest festive creations will then be judged by a panel of experts.

The Greatest Snowman's executive producers include Caroline Davies, Melanie Leach and Andrew Mackenzie for Southshore, while the series editor is James Hedge.

For now, it remains a mystery as to who will be starring in the series and when, exactly, it'll air on telly. However, we are so excited and can't wait to see it!
