SPOILERS FOR SERIES ONE BELOW

If you ripped through the first series of Apple TV+'s black comedy-murder mystery series Bad Sisters as fast as we did, then you'll be thrilled to hear that a second season is imminent - and the trailer has now been released.

It's over two years since the first episode of Sharon Horgan's dark comedy (adapted from Belgian crime comedy Clan) landed on Apple TV+ and quickly gained a cult following. It appears the second series has followed a similar timeline, as two years have also passed since the events of the revelatory finale episode of season 1, in which we discovered that Grace (Anne-Marie Duff) killed her abusive husband John Paul (Claes Bang).

Watch the trailer for series 2 below, then keep reading to find out everything we know about the second instalment of the show.

What happens in Bad Sisters series 2?

Two years after the 'accidental death' of Grace’s abusive husband, the close-knit Garvey sisters have finally moved on. But the past won't stay silent forever, and "when past truths resurface, the ladies are thrust back into the spotlight, suspicions are at an all-time high, lies are told, secrets revealed and the sisters are forced to work out who they can trust," reads the official synopsis.

After an initial photo from the new series hinted at a wedding - Grace's, no less - the trailer has confirmed it to be true. Series 2 will see Grace remarry to Ian (Owen McDonnell), a kind and gentle man who's the antithesis to her late former husband, John Paul.

But while things appear to be looking up for Grace, a dead body is soon found in a suitcase, and the Garvey sisters are brought back into the spotlight for more questioning by the police. And they're not the only ones with questions as new character Angelica (Fiona Shaw) is sniffing round for details on John Paul's untimely death.

With the drama dialled up to 11 for the next series, the Garvey sisters' seemingly unbreakable bond will be tested to its limit - will anyone crack under the pressure? Only time will tell...
