Will Bad Sisters get a season 3?
FINALLY, Bad Sisters season 2 is available to stream on Apple TV+, as we rejoin the Garvey sisters following the death of John Paul. While the episodes are dropping weekly, so we don't know exactly what the future holds for the troublesome fivesome, we're already looking ahead to a potential season 3. So, will Bad Sisters season 3 be happening? Here's what we know so far.
Wait, what is Bad Sisters?
Bad Sisters follows five sisters - eldest Eva (Sharon Horgan), nurse Ursula (Eva Birthistle), one-eyed Bibi (Sarah Greene), Grace (Anne-Marie Duff) and the youngest, Becka (Eve Hewson). In season one, we see them on a journey of attempting to murder Grace's husband John Paul (JP) Williams (played by Claes Bang), while season two sees them handling the fallout of his death.
Has Bad Sisters season 3 been announced?
So far, nothing has been said about a third season of Bad Sisters. Season 1 of the show was released in August 2022, and it wasn't until the following November 2022 that the show was renewed for more episodes.
Three months after its initial release, cast member and executive producer Sharon Horgan announced in a press release: "If you'd have told me three years ago that I'd be making a series about five murderous sisters chasing a man around Ireland trying to kill him I'd have said; yeah, that sounds about right."
Sharing her feelings towards season two, she went on, "The response to our show had been beyond what we could have hoped for. It gave us the opportunity to shine a light on stories that don't always get such a global platform. I look forward to getting chilly in the Irish Sea one more time."
So, fingers crossed that January 2025 sees an announcement of season 3!
