Ariana Grande's Serving Major Blair Waldorf Vibes With Her Latest Look

Ariana Grande's nostalgic-inspired fashion moments are, quite honestly, one of my favourite things on the internet. From her recreation of the most iconic 2000s rom-com lewks in her 'Thank U, Next' music video, to her recent revival of the famous 13 Going On 30 Versace dress (previous donned by Jenna Rink, AKA Jennifer Garner), the singer continues to celebrate some of our most pivotal retro style mems. Now, she's at it again, and this time she's leaning into the Gossip Girl *aesthetic*, perhaps without even realising it. More specifically, that of Queen Bee, Blair Waldorf.

Overnight, Ariana took to Instagram to share her latest look in the form of a mini photoshoot (photographed by @katiatemkin) and we are loving the whole vibe. Kneeling against a backdrop of trailing ivy - an Ivy League reference, maybe? - Ari wears an oversized grey blazer (with padded shoulders) as a dress, which she then teams with a pair of black tights, kinda like a chic school uniform.

As for footwear, she reps a pair of platform Mary Janes - y'know, the kind characters wear in TV shows but you never would have been able to get away with at your own school? Yup, them.

But, let's be honest, the accessories are the main event of this outfit. Ariana opts for a contrasting white scarf tied around her neck (very Blair Waldorf) AND a matching bow around her signature ponytail. As though that's not enough, she also goes for a pair of preppy stud earrings.

Ariana's makeup artist, Ash K Holm, made the GG comparison in the comment section, writing 'It's giving Blair Waldorf. XOXO ❤️!' and we couldn't agree more.

Speaking of makeup, Ari finishes this ensemble with a swipe of strawberry-hued gloss, winged eyeliner and soft baby pink eyeshadow.

This isn't the first time that Ariana's repped the dainty neck scarf trend loved by the Upper East Side fashionista, with the singer sharing another look a few months ago using the staple to elevate an LBD.

Is anyone else a huge fan of the 2021 take on one of Blair's go-to accessories? If so, here's an affordable version to shop now:
