Dalton Gomez celebrated his first birthday as the husband of Ariana Grande this weekend, and the singer showered him with adoration on her Instagram.

The 28-year-old shared a selection of photos, including some from their May nuptials and others from their honeymoon to the Netherlands.

Alongside a photo of the couple, sat in a giant pair of clogs, Grande wrote a message to her spouse : 'Happy birthday to my baby, my husband, my best friend. I love you infinitely.'

In a photo from their wedding day, Grande and Gomez are seen kissing, while the 'Dangerous Woman' star's veil drapes down her neck. Also featuring in the black and white newlyweds snap is Grande's beloved dog, Toulouse.

Ariana Grande and her new husband Dalton Gomez were recently seen dining out with friends for the first time since their surprise wedding last month.

A photo of Grande, her husband and their friends was shared on the Wolfgang Puck restaurant's Instagram account.

In the snap, the newlywed is seen wearing a strapless brown outfit with earrings and her hair pulled back into her signature high ponytail while her husband wears a black T-shirt and white-shirt.

Grande has confirmed that she married her fiancé Dalton Gomez in a secret at-home ceremony on the weekend of May 15-16.

For the Montecito wedding, the bride wore a custom gown by Vera Wang, which featured a lily-white silk column silhouette, an empire waistline, a sculpted sweetheart neckline and a plunging cut-out back.

The singer teamed the look with a tulle veil fastened with a satin bow and Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings. Gomez wore a suit by Tom Ford.

Prior to the confirmation the BBC reported that a Grande spokesperson had shared: 'They got married. It was tiny and intimate - [fewer] than 20 people. The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn't be happier.'

On Sunday, April 4 the singer posted a photograph of her cuddling up to her fiancé in front of a fire, with her arms wrapped around his neck. Another snap sees the couple cuddling and kissing at twilight above a bustling city.

Update 20/12/20: Ariana Grande Announces Engagement to Dalton Gomez

Congratulations are in store for Ariana Grande, who has announced her engagement to boyfriend Dalton Gomez.

The singer confirmed the news on her Instagram on December 20, sharing a montage of photographs of herself with Gomez and her unique engagement ring.

A close up of the ring shows an oval diamond set next to a single pearl on a silver band. In other pictures, the 'thank u, next' singer cuddles up to her partner of just under a year.

'Forever n then some [sic],' Grande captioned the collage of images.

Among the many wellwishers to comment on the happy news were Kim Kardashian, Hailey Bieber, Demi Lovato and Grande's longtime manager Scooter Braun.

Grande's mother Joan also commented, writing: 'Sooo sooo sooo happy!!!! Love you two!!! [sic]'

The couple are believed to have been dating since the start of 2020 and appeared to spend lockdown together, which was suggested when the realtor starred in Grande's music video for 'Stuck With U'.'

Grande and Justin Bieber were also nominated for Best Collaboration and Best Music Video from Home (for their song ‘Stuck With U’) and won the latter.

The 27-year-old also shared a hilarious fan meme of what her children with Gomez would apparently look like. Although we can't see into the future, here at ELLE we're pretty confident that the photo is actually not an accurate prediction of what the children would look like.

In June, Ariana confirmed that she and Gomez are officially an item on her Instagram account ahead of her 27th birthday.

On Friday June 26, the singer shared a series of photos of herself and life in lockdown to her 191 million followers including a snap of herself with her dogs and one of her cuddling up to her property mogul beau.

In the snap, Gomez wears a black sweater and cap with an arm around the famous singer, who is dressed in an oversized grey sweatshirt and a her hair worn in a messy bun.

‘Almost 27,’ Grande captioned the snap, with a smiley face emoji.

This is the first time Grade and Gomez have gone public with their romance since he appeared in her music video with Bieber for their hit single and made a cameo in a sketch following the release of her single 'Rain on Me' with Gaga.

Grande has been famously single for a while now - we say famously because she literally wrote a song about how grateful she was for time for herself and what she'd learned from each of her high-profile ex-boyfriends in 2018 with thank u, next - but was first reported to have found love again in February.

TMZ posted pictures of Grande kissing someone in a bar in LA in February and then a month later reported that the man in question was Gomez and that he is friends with Miley Cyrus - who has been close to Grande for years.

A source told People in March that the new couple have 'been hanging out for a couple of months... Ariana doesn’t want to do another public relationship so she is trying to keep this one quiet, but she seems very happy with Dalton'.

Eagle-eyed fans then noticed that Grande and Gomez were quarantining together amid the Coronavirus pandemic, as a male figure was seen in the backdrop of some of the 'No Tears Left To Cry' singer's Instagram Stories.

Following the 'Stuck with U' video, we then saw Gomez again when Grande and Lady Gaga appeared side-by-side in a parody weather report segment for The Weather Channel discussing the deluge of rain they were currently experiencing in LA - a plug for their single 'Rain On Me', get it?

While we were very occupied watching the two singers play weather reporter, we almost missed another cameo by Gomez where he was seen helping out his girlfriend by playing prop manager and spraying her with a shower while she sheltered under an umbrella for the segment.
