Ariana Grande Asks Fans Not to Send Hate to "People in My Life" Based on Their Interpretation of 'Eternal Sunshine'
Ariana Grande dropped Eternal Sunshine on Thursday night and everyone wasted no time diving into the lyrics. Some specific theories?
And the Dalton Gomez backlash has been kinda intense thanks to lyrics like "I showed you all my demons, all my lies / Yet you played me like Atari / Now it's like I'm lookin' in the mirror / Hope you feel alright when you're in her."
In a statement released on Instagram, Ari wrote “I just wanted to say anyone that is sending hateful messages to the people in my life based on your interpretation of this album is not supporting me and is absolutely doing the polar opposite of what I would ever encourage (and is also entirely misinterpreting the intention behind the music)."

"I ask that you please do not," she continued. "It is not how to support me. It is the opposite. Although this album captures a lot of painful moments, it also is woven together with a through line of deep, sincere love. If you cannot hear that, please listen more closely. Thank you."
Ariana's statement comes amid her performing two of her new songs on Saturday Night Live: "imperfect for you" which was completely stunning...

And "we can’t be friends (wait for your love)" which is also incredible. Truly, HER VOCALS.
