Their first official engagement together suggested they've already developed a close bond, and now Meghan Markle and the Duchess of Cambridge have just given us another big – but subtle – insight into their relationship.

And it's all to do with their body language again.

As we reported following their appearance at the annual Royal Foundation Forum with partners Princes William and Harry on 1 March, Meghan and Kate's matching sitting pose seemed to suggest that the Duchess may have been imparting some of her royal wisdom to her future sister-in-law.

And now, after the 'Fab Four' were pictured during their second official appearance together on Monday (12 March) at Westminster Abbey, body language expert Judi James has identified yet another sign suggesting that Meghan and Kate are getting closer all the time.

Chatting to The Express, Judi James said both women were mirroring each other almost perfectly –if you take Kate's baby bump out of the equation, that is.

According to Judi James, it looks like the Duchess may have been giving Meghan more royal etiquette pointers...

The big giveaway? It's all to do with the way both royal brides are holding their clutch bags clasped in front of them...

'Kate has always favoured a small clutch bag and used both hands to hold it in front of her torso at royal events,' she explained.

'Meghan made her first few appearances with a selection of normal, full-size handbags hanging from one straight arm but it looks very much as though Kate has influenced her to take something much smaller and neater.'

She continued: 'Royals are not expected to use the kind of arm-folding barrier signals the rest of us use when we're feeling slightly vulnerable and clutching a big bag under one arm would look far too informal.

'The Queen favours the traditional handled bag hanging over one crooked arm but the style would be too classic for the younger, more modern royals.

'So it looks very much as though Kate has suggested her own trick of a discreet and partial bag "barrier" to Meghan, which has resulted in these two quite different women in terms of body language behaviour looking like peas in a pod as they walk together.'
