Anya Taylor-Joy gushes over 'magnificent' CFDA Fashion Awards outfit

Anya Taylor-Joy has gushed over the "magnificent" outfit she wore to the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Fashion Awards on Wednesday night.

The Queen's Gambit actress stepped out in a stunning violet cocktail dress and matching peplum jacket from Oscar de la Renta to the annual event, where she was presented with the first-ever Face of the Year prize by Cara Delevingne.

Reflecting on the night in an Instagram post, Anya expressed her gratitude to the design team at the fashion house.

"AGH! A huge THANK YOU to @cfda + @tomford for giving me the honour of being your first 'Face of the year', presented by the epic force that is my love, @caradelevingne," she began. "It was a truly extraordinary night and one i will treasure forever... and a big thank you to @oscardelarenta for collaborating with my main squeeze and I on this magnificent look, you truly knocked it out of the park."

Anya went on to give credit to her team for their hard work, including Tracy Brennan, Kat Gosling, Charlie Jennings, Georgie Eisdell, Gregory Russell, Owen Gould, Charlene Young, Stephen Huvane, and Kim Truong.

"This year has been life changing. A lot of lessons learnt on the fly and new experiences to rise to. I feel so utterly privileged to have the most beautiful team on my side, holding my hand and giving me space to grow. THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE. And my darling @paulburgo," the 25-year-old continued, referring to her stylist. "Our friendship has always been magic but the looks we have created this year has been the most enchanting manifestation of our ten years together. You are my heart."
