Anya Taylor-Joy’s gigantic humidity hair matches her XXL skirt at the US Dune premiere
If there's one celebrity that's known for their super sleek, glass-like hair, it's Anya Taylor-Joy; rarely do we ever see the actor donning a look other than her signature pin-straight milky locks. Though, that is, until today, where she's gone against the grain with a hairstyle like no other.
Over the weekend [25 January, 2024], the star attended the second premiere of "Dune: Part 2" held at the Josie Robertson Plaza in New York City. For the occasion, Anya, of course, turned up and out with a crinoline dress, making for a sheer, XXL skirted ball gown. And not only that but she also coordinated a larger-than-life hair look to match.
Anya's longtime go-to hairstylist, Gregory Russell was the genius behind what we're now calling 'humidity curls' – and as guessed, this look is defined by a lot of volume and frizzy texture. See all that we're describing, below:
We think she looks just like 1800s royalty, wouldn't you agree?
Making for an interesting take on the everyday humidity hair look, Gregory opted to keep Anya's root sleek with her pre-raphaelite waves starting from the mid-end lengths. This gave the style more of a tamed finish, not to mention the perfect middle part being subdued in place with what bobby pins. Simply, perfection.
Finishing the star-studded look, Anya's makeup artist, Georgie Eisdell created a flushed complexion, topped off with a satin berry lip and extra-long tailed 'brow.
In other words, this entire ensemble had us giving Anya 10s, 10s, 10s across the board. [Victorian] Period. *Wink, nudge*
