Angelina Jolie embraces classic businesswear with a chic pencil skirt
Angelina Jolie never fails to deliver a timeless look.
The Maria actress regularly reaches for luxurious, minimal staples she can mix and match seamlessly. Lately, she’s been partial to her collection of trench coats, as well as slinky slip dresses that she can style multiple ways. She incorporated the former into her latest ensemble, debuting the elegant look yesterday at the 2024 Torino Film Festival in Italy.
There, Jolie stepped onto the red carpet in one of her signature minimalist outfits. She played with her silhouette by pairing a relaxed black V-neck jumper with a form-fitting grey pencil skirt, rolling up the sleeves of her knit to give the look a more casual feel. Underneath the midi skirt, she opted for a pair of black ballet flats.
Later that evening, the actress threw a beige wool trench coat over her shoulders, proving she owns a variation of the silhouette for every occasion. She rounded out her look with a few simple accessories, from a gold bangle to a pair of delicate gold hoops. For make-up, she kept things classic with a subtle black cat eye, and she wore her highlighted blonde hair in a blown-out style.
Jolie added another accessory to her look later, as she was awarded the Stella della Mole prize for her acting career. She also screened her newest directorial venture, Without Blood, marking the film’s international premiere. Despite it all, however, Jolie believes her greatest achievement may be motherhood.
Earlier this week, she opened up about being a mother — and why it’s more important to her than being an Oscar-winning actress, a human rights activist, or a fashion icon. Speaking with Good Morning America’s Michael Strahan, Jolie mentioned how much her kids mean to her, comparing her passion for motherhood to her character Maria Callas’ passion for singing. “It’s my happiness,” she said. “You can take everything else away from me. Nothing else matters.”
