Amy Schumer shows fans her c-section scars in new mirror selfie
Fans are praising Trainwreck star Amy Schumer after she posted a selfie to Instagram proudly showing the scars from the c-section she had back in 2019.
Taking to Instagram late on Sunday night Schumer shared a picture of her body in the reflection of her bathroom mirror, in which you can see the scars she got from the c-section she had in May 2019 when she gave birth to her son Gene. She captioned the post, "Feeling like my c section looks cute today! #hotgirlwinter #csection."
Fans quickly flooded the comments with support for the comedian praising her for her bravery in sharing the picture. One person wrote, "Amen sister! Scars are beautiful," while another commented, "Love you for posting this!" and one fan said, "I had one too! Now I appreciate that scar [because] without that scar, I wouldn’t have my beautiful girl!."
Schumer and husband Chris Fischer welcomed their son Gene back in May 2019 after a challenging labour which she spoke openly about on the Informed Parenting and Pregnancy podcast.
"I was throwing up through the first hour of my C-section," she said. "It’s supposed to take about an hour and a half - mine took over three hours because of my endometriosis and that was really scary."
"It was kind of brutal but Chris was so great," she continued. "We just stared in each other’s eyes and he just held me there. Then they let me hold Gene for a good amount of time. I got to see him and hold him."
