Amy Adams Would Love To Play Taylor Swift’s Publicist Tree Paine
Like many people on the planet, Amy Adams is keen on the idea of getting closer to Taylor Swift. During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the actor discussed the Eras Tour singer and commented on who she would like to play should there ever be a Taylor Swift biopic.
Adams said that while she had always 'liked and appreciated' Swift's music, her fandom reached new heights after attending an Eras Tour concert with her daughter. 'I'm like a shifty, 50, Swiftie. And I'm like, isn’t that nifty? And my daughter is going, "Oh, I hate this for you,"' Adams explained. She added that she went from being 'normal' to saying: 'I’ll take all the friendship bracelets!'

The Swiftie at 50 is a fan favourite to play Swift’s publicist Tree Paine, should there ever be a biopic. Paine has been the exclusive publicist of the mega-star since 2014 and is known for her formidable skill, as well as her red hair – hence the calls for Adams to play her. 'Uh, that would be amazing. That would be so fun,' said the actor when asked about the (for now, imaginary) role. 'If it got me closer to Taylor, then…'
Adams also recalled meeting Swift years ago at an awards show after party, where they took part in some karaoke together. 'I may have sang it a little loud and I’m sure everybody was like, "Amy, shut up! We want to hear Taylor sing." I was just in it,' said Adams. 'I should’ve just sat down and let Taylor sing upon reflection.' She added that she had a 'blast' nonetheless.
Let's hope they're reunited one day – whether it's for a biopic meeting or a karaoke encore.
