Scarlette’s rare condition caused her left arm to swell up. In an effort to save her little life it was amputated.

On Christmas eve the Tipton family from California rushed to an animal shelter after hearing about an amputee kitten on local news. It was there they adopted the perfect companion for their daughter.

Scarlette was able to identify that the kitten had similar struggles to her own. Her mother said that when the little girl noticed Doc had staples in her side she said “owee” and pointed to her own amputation scar in sympathy.
